Engine Rebuilding
An art performed by patient hands

Every engine rebuild is carried out under the watchful eye of award-winning master engine builder and machinist Frank Buonanno. He and his team bore, hone, lap, and reassemble each engine using only hand tools and any special techniques specified by the manufacturer. In fact, we fabricate many of the tooling and parts no longer available.

A Black Horse Garage rebuilt engine:

• Is tuned for the specific use it will see (daily driver, concours events, or vintage competition)
• Has tolerances that meet or exceed the factory's
• Breathes better thanks to a 3-angle cut on all valves
• Has each valve spring's height and seat matched
• Has its electrical components balanced
