2010 Meadow Brook Concours d' Elegance

Black Horse Garage is proud to announce we will be presenting a 1930 Packard Standard Eight and a 1967 Ferrari 330 GTC at the prestigious Meadow Brook Concours d' Elegance on July 25. The Meadow Brook event is considered one of the top three Concours in America and has been running since 1979. The beautiful grounds for the Concours are situated in Rochester, Michigan; a town nestled between the Chyrsler Innovation Center and the General Motors World Headquarters. Such a prestigious event demands only the finest cars, and Black Horse Garage will certainly live up to that demand - sending two cars that won their respective categories at this year's Greenwich Concours d' Elegance, the Ferrari on its first time shown! We are anticipating yet another successful event. If you are planning to attend Meadow Brook, please give us a call at 203-330-9604 in advance, so we can make arrangements to meet up with you, or simply seek us out in front of one of our proud examples of craftsmanship. We look forward to seeing you there!

Wheels and Wings 2009

There's an old saying that persistence pays off. Well the 2009 Wheels & Wings event is certainly proof of that. Despite four weather related postponements over nearly two months, Mother Nature finally decided to cooperate by making Sunday October 11th a spectacular Autumn day for the much-anticipated show.

Perhaps the weeks of anticipation made the event a little sweeter this year since the sight and sound of meticulously prepared collector cars making their way across the grass was truly a special delight for the senses. From stately American classics and sleek European sports cars to an amazing array of muscle cars, hotrods, customs, and special interest vehicles from around the world, exhibitors and spectators enjoyed watching a parade of more than 250 automobiles roll into position on the expansive field.

The gathering of fascinating cars was made even more spectacular by the presence of approximately 30 vintage airplanes and an early helicopter landing, taking off, and being displayed along the scenic grass runway by adventurous pilots and proud owners from around Connecticut and throughout New England. Whether strolling between rows of glistening cars, enjoying good food and music at the hangar building, or watching the colorfully painted airplanes streak across the bright blue October sky, everyone from senior citizens to kids attending their first car show were in great spirits throughout the fun-filled day.

Black Horse Garage would like to thank every automobile and aircraft exhibitor participating along with the hundreds of excited spectators who patiently waited for Wheels & Wings to take place. We'd also like to thank the Housatonic Valley Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America, whose volunteers helped organize many aspects of the show. Their hard work and dedication was instrumental in making the event a great success and fun for everyone.
