Paul Paradise

Parts Manager

Paul Paradise recently joined Black Horse Garage as our parts manager - a.k.a. "The New Guy on The Phone" for all of our vendors who work with him on a daily basis.

Just like so many of the other members of Team Black Horse, it was a family member who started him on the road to classic cars... albeit Paul took a little different path than the rest of us, which we'll get to in a minute. He credits his uncle with getting him into cars and recognizing his desire to work with his hands. Paul helped his uncle tinker on his various muscle cars and still gets enlisted to help out on weekends. Paul's family always had a bit of a car-crazy side to them, his mother's first car was a seafoam green 68 Mustang Convertible... with a 289, of course! In fact, Paul says his mom has had a bunch of Mustangs through the years, all of them V8's. That sure beats the brown and green station wagons most of us grew up with!

Paul met John Buonanno while at church and they instantly hit it off. Paul's sense of humor and his straightforward honesty instantly connected with John's sense of what's important in a friend. It also happens to be what John looks for in an employee so when the seat at the parts desk became available, John knew Paul had the ability to take on the challenge... though we hear it took some convincing! Once Paul's modesty was overcome, he has taken to the job very quickly. Fast learning aside, his ability to joke around with the crew with a totally straight face is a very welcome skill here at Black Horse.

When he's allowed to leave his post at the parts desk, Paul is a family man, citing play time with his 4 year old daughter as one of his favorite past times. Of course, time with his wife Kristina is also just as important. Paul says that he has such as big extended family that he barely has any time for friends! Birthdays, Anniversaries, weekends, or good weather are all perfect excuses for a get-together! When he needs a little time away for himself, he enjoys working out at the gym - though he particularly enjoys the chance to inflict pain on his occasional workout partner - our own John Buonanno.
