With more than 40 years of automotive and motorsport experience, Jack feels right at home maintaining and restoring the most exciting cars in the world.
Easy-going and soft-spoken, Jack is a drivetrain expert who always has an idea or two to improve a vehicle’s performance. His involvement in the ARCA series keeps him up-to-date on the latest technology. And every race weekend, his skills and know-how get put to the test in the real world.
How do you approach engine building?
“First of all, you have to know how the customer will use the car. We can rebuild to original spec, which is what you’d want if your plans include concours events. If you’re looking to drive your car regularly, we can improve its drivability and reliability. For owners interested in performance or competition, we can add muscle under the hood – hotter cams, high-flow heads, etc.”
What do you want customers to leave with?
“Of course you want happy customers. But the best thing is for someone to feel comfortable enough that when he’s in the area, he stops in to say, ‘hi.’ That’s a satisfied customer.”
If you could grab to the keys to any car on your way out the door tonight, which would it be?
“[grinning] The Ferrari F40 – no doubt about it.”
