Robert "Bobby the Fish" Graff

Maintenance manager, mover of cars, shop organizer, and general go-to guy

Bob Graff, or "Bobby the Fish" as he's know in most circles, is a local guy, born and raised in Monroe, CT. From a young age, Bob had developed an insatiable curiosity for all things related to aviation. In fact, his first job was in the aviation business and he never looked back, moving steadily up through the ranks to become hangar manager at various regional airports in the area, being responsible for the safety and organization of multi-million dollar private and corporate aircraft. He also has a deep appreciation for vintage aircraft; bi-planes in particular really get his blood pumping. As strong as Bob's love for classic and exotic aircraft might be, he true passion comes from the rivers and shoreline of Western Connecticut. As you can surmise from his nickname, Bobby the Fish is an expert fisherman. He enjoys spending his weekends working at a fly fishing shop, casting in lakes, rivers and streams, and also happens to be an experienced fly fishing instructor and expert guide. It only takes one "fish story" to get hooked by his infectious enthusiasm (no pun intended!) for fishing.

Bob joined Black Horse Garage in 2009 to become our maintenance manager, mover of cars, shop organizer, and general go-to guy to get done what needs doing. His enthusiasm and can-do attitude make him a welcome member of the Black Horse Family. Black Horse values his respect for valuable machinery; his experience in the aviation industry has taught him well. His appreciation of aircraft has carried over to classic cars - his current favorite car in the shop being a 1952 Sunbeam Alpine, obviously a guy with good taste! Bob currently resides in Monroe with his faithful companion Jet, an energetic and loyal Dachshund.
